At the remarkable age of almost 95 years Don Meloche passed away last week. During his long life Don became a pioneer of Bücker operation in the USA. One of the highlights of his aviation life was surely getting to fly formation with son Mike in his own Jungmann.

Don's obituary contains much to be admired but this paragraph will resonate with Bücker owners:

In 1989, Don was appointed San Diego Superior Court Judge. A strong athlete, avid runner, a pilot of many years. He loved flying! He was known as 'the flying Judge.' As there was often a shortage of courtrooms, Don would just jump in his WWII Bucker Jungmann biplane and fly to the auxiliary court in Ramona.

I am sure the Bucker community will join me in extending sympathy and respect to Mike and family.
